Code of Conduct

Reflex Gymnastics upholds the Six Pillars of Character (Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship). These values are expected from all students, coaches, and parents while participating in Reflex events such as Summer Camp.

As with learning new gymnastics skills, mistakes will be made, but our coaches are prepared to help students correct their mistakes and move on with the session. Repeated offenses of our code of conduct policy becomes a safety hazard and may result in lost activity time or dismissal from our program.

Types of behavior that cannot be tolerated:

  • Violence - hitting, punching, throwing objects, pinching, poking, kicking against staff and other students.
  • Wandering away or inability to stay with a group or instructor.
  • Unable to follow verbal instructions.
  • Disrespect - to staff and other students.
  • Bullying of other students.

Enforcement of the Code of Conduct will be as follows:

  • Warning against observed inappropriate behavior
  • Loss of turn for repeated infractions
  • Loss of time on floor and call to parents for repeated disregard of rules/instructions
  • Behavior Report
  • Dismissal from camp without refund for repeated and/or serious violations

Dismissal is a last resort for chronic behavior, but may also be used initially if behavior is particularly disruptive, violent, or unsafe. We want to make certain everyone is able to enjoy the day as safely and enjoyably as possible.

Dismiss worthy behavior includes (but is not limited to): violence against another student or coach, destructive behavior against property, use of profanity or vulgarity, and flight risk actions (ie.running away or hiding).
